Angie & Tom Geary’s fir needle candle and soap business began in 2011 on their tree farm in South Kingstown, Rhode Island. They have been tree farming at Bedrock Farm since 1996. Bedrock Tree Farm uses fresh fir needles and dried fir needle powder, fir needle essential oils and naturally derived fragrance oils in all of their natural bases.
It is said that the distinctive aroma of the fir needle is beneficial to the respiratory system and helps maintain clear sinuses as well as rid the air of unpleasant odors. The oils in fir needles have antimicrobial, antiseptic, and anti-catarrhal(reduces inflammation of mucous membranes) properties.
