Featured Artisan, Meadowbrooke Gourds

This will be our 6th year carrying Meadowbrooke Gourds and they just keep getting better and better. Ben Bear started his crazy journey with two seeds that he found by accident during a trip to New England. These goose neck gourds had a wood like shell that gave Ben, a carpenter by trade, an amazing canvas to create on. In 1995, he started working out of a tractor trailer on a farm with five people. As the demand for the gourds became  greater, he moved to their current farm in Carlisle, PA. The Bear family now employs 20 employees that they call family. Their crafting team has over 40 years of combined experience. Each craftsman works thousands of hours to perfect their skill and become a master. It is no wonder that we sell out of these natural works of art every season. We are proud to partner with such an amazing family run business and look forward to every season.
